Pricing & Payments
How pricing works for paid and free events, payment processing, and managing your events
Paid Events
When you sell tickets, viewers pay to join your Q&A session. You set the price and earn money from every sale.
Fees
The platform fee is 10% + $0.50 per ticket sold. Stripe's payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) is charged separately. Both fees are deducted before your payout. You never pay anything upfront.
For example, on a $20 ticket:
| Ticket price | $20.00 |
| Platform fee (10% + $0.50/ticket) | -$2.50 |
| Payment processing (2.9% + $0.30) | -$0.88 |
| You keep per ticket | $16.62 |
Use the calculator on the pricing page to estimate your earnings at different price points.
Minimum Ticket Price
The minimum ticket price is $5. This ensures a quality experience for both creators and viewers while covering transaction costs.
Getting Paid
Payouts are processed within 7 days after your session ends. Funds are deposited directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. You'll need to set up a Stripe Connect account from your dashboard before your first paid event.
Accepted Payment Methods
Viewers can pay with any major credit or debit card. All payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. You never see or handle card details.
Replay Access
Paid event ticket holders get extended replay access for up to 30 days after the live session.
Free Events
Free events let your viewers join at no cost to them. You cover the platform costs instead. This is great for first sessions or growing your audience.
Fees
The cost is a $5 base fee per event plus $0.50 per registered guest. You pay per registration because every registered guest gets replay access after the live session, even if they don't attend live.
When you go live, a hold is placed on your card based on your attendee cap. After the session ends, you're only charged for the actual number of guests who registered.
For example, with 50 guests:
| Base fee | $5.00 |
| Per guest (50 x $0.50) | $25.00 |
| Total cost | $30.00 |
Attendee Cap
You set the maximum number of guests who can register. Once the cap is reached, registration closes automatically. This gives you full control over costs since you pay per registered guest. You can set caps from 10 to 1,000 guests.
Replay Access
Free event viewers get replay access for up to 72 hours after the live session.
Managing Events
Changing Pricing Between Events
Each event can have its own pricing model. Run a free event to grow your audience, then monetize with paid tickets for premium content, or vice versa. You choose the model when creating each event.
Cancellations and Refunds
You can cancel scheduled events anytime before going live. For paid events, all ticket holders are automatically refunded in full. Note that Stripe's payment processing fees are non-refundable, so these costs will be deducted from your account.
