Go Live Everywhere
Stream your Q&A session to YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and TikTok simultaneously
How Simulcast Works
Simulcast is completely optional. Your Q&A session runs entirely on Q&A W/Me, and your audience can watch, submit questions, and chat without any external platform. Simulcast just lets you broadcast the video feed to other platforms at the same time so you can reach viewers who prefer YouTube, LinkedIn, or wherever else they already hang out.
Viewers watching on external platforms get the video stream only. To participate in the Q&A, purchase tickets, or ask questions, they'll need to join on Q&A W/Me.
When you enable simulcast, Q&A W/Me sends your live video stream to each platform you've configured. We handle the video delivery, but each platform controls its own title, description, chat, and privacy settings. You'll need to configure those directly on each platform before going live.
To get started, you'll need a stream key from each platform. A stream key is like a password that lets Q&A W/Me stream to your account. Here's how to find it on each platform.
YouTube
Option A: Connect with Google (Recommended)
- In Q&A W/Me, go to Profile > Stream to External Platforms > Add Platform > YouTube
- Tap Connect YouTube and sign in with your Google account
- We'll pull your stream key automatically, no copy-pasting needed
Your key stays in sync and you can refresh it from your profile at any time.
Option B: Paste your key manually
- Open YouTube Studio and start a new live stream (choose "Streaming Software" as the method)
- In the stream setup screen, copy the Stream key shown under the stream settings panel
- Paste it into Q&A W/Me
Note: You only need the stream key. Remember to set your title, thumbnail, and description inside YouTube Studio before going live.
LinkedIn
The flow is: schedule a Live Event on LinkedIn, then grab your stream credentials from their Live Studio shortly before your session.
- Schedule a LinkedIn Event with LinkedIn Live as the format
- When you're close to showtime, open Live Studio, find your event, and hit Prepare to go live (unlocks 1-2 hours before the start, depending on account type)
- Pick your Region, then generate the Stream URL and Stream Key
- Add both to Q&A W/Me, start streaming, and then confirm Go live inside LinkedIn's Studio once the preview loads
Who can go live: 150+ followers/connections, account older than 30 days, good standing. No application needed. The option shows up automatically when creating an event.
Watch the clock: Credentials expire if you don't start within the preview window (10 minutes for personal profiles, 2 hours for verified Pages). Generate them right before you're ready.
LinkedIn's official guides:
Instagram
Desktop live streaming on Instagram is available to Professional accounts (Creator or Business). Each broadcast generates a fresh key, so you'll repeat this before every session.
- On a computer, open Instagram and start a new Live video from the create menu
- Enter a title, pick your audience, and advance to the next screen
- Instagram will display a Stream URL and Stream Key. Copy both into Q&A W/Me
- After Q&A W/Me begins sending video, go back to Instagram and confirm Go live when the preview appears
Timing: You have up to 5 hours between starting the feed and confirming on Instagram's side. Because the key is single-use, you'll need to generate a new one for your next broadcast.
Twitter/X
Live streaming on X requires an X Premium subscription and access to Media Studio. The setup is a two-part process: first you create a reusable RTMP source, then you attach it to a broadcast.
- In Media Studio, open the Sources tab and create a new RTMP source. Pick a name and your nearest region
- Copy the stream key that appears and paste it into Q&A W/Me
- Next, go to the Broadcasts tab and create a new broadcast. Fill in your title, description, and cover image, and link it to the source you just made
- Once Q&A W/Me starts sending video, X will publish it as a live broadcast on your profile
Good news: Your source and key carry over between broadcasts, so this is a one-time setup.
TikTok
TikTok limits RTMP access to accounts with 1,000+ followers that are 18+. Even with enough followers, RTMP may not be available on every account. Keys are session-based and reset when you log out.
- From a desktop browser, navigate to your TikTok profile and open the Live Center
- Set up your stream category and title, then confirm to reach the broadcast dashboard
- Before you actually go live, look for the Server URL and Stream Key displayed on the dashboard
- Copy both and add them to Q&A W/Me. Make sure the Server URL goes in its own field
Heads up: TikTok is one of the few platforms that needs both a server URL and a key. The key is tied to your current login session, so if you log out and back in you'll need to grab a fresh one.
Custom Destination
For any other platform that supports streaming from external software (Twitch, Kick, Facebook, etc.):
- Find your platform's Server URL (sometimes called "RTMP URL" or "Ingest URL")
- Find your Stream Key in the platform's streaming settings
- In Q&A W/Me, select Custom as the platform
- Enter the RTMP URL and Stream Key
- Give it a label (e.g., "Twitch" or "Facebook") so you can identify it
Adding Stream Keys in Q&A W/Me
- Open the Q&A W/Me app or website
- Go to your Profile
- Open Stream to External Platforms to expand the section
- Click Add Platform and select the platform
- For YouTube, click Connect YouTube to auto-fetch your key, or paste it manually
- For other platforms, paste your stream key (and server URL if required)
- Click Save
- Use the toggle to enable or disable each platform
FAQ
Why can't I set my YouTube title from Q&A W/Me?
We stream your video to each platform, but the platform controls its own metadata: titles, descriptions, thumbnails, chat, and privacy settings. You'll need to set those up on each platform before going live. This is the same way OBS, Streamlabs, and other broadcasting tools work.
What happens if one platform disconnects?
Each platform runs as an independent stream. If one platform disconnects or has issues, your other streams keep running. You'll see a red status indicator next to any platform that loses connection in the live simulcast menu.
Do I need to start each platform manually?
No. When you go live in Q&A W/Me with simulcast enabled, we automatically start sending your video to all enabled platforms. However, some platforms (like YouTube and LinkedIn) may require you to click "Go Live" on their end to start showing the stream to your audience.
Can I add or remove platforms during a live session?
Yes. Use the simulcast menu during your live session to start or stop streaming to individual platforms without affecting your main Q&A session or other platform streams.
My stream key changed. What do I do?
Some platforms (TikTok, Instagram) generate a new key for each session. Update it in your Q&A W/Me profile before going live. For YouTube, use the "Connect YouTube" option to keep your key synced automatically.
